Being an alumn of the University of Florida (BS TEL '91), I have to answer the call of a friend in need - even if he has four legs! Help find this doggie!

Hart is a five year old buff Cocker Spaniel male, about 25 pounds, with a visible cataract in one eye, was visiting on Galveston Island when he wandered away. Hart went missing on Friday, the 24th of February 2006 on the west end of Galveston Island a few miles from San Luis Pass. Hart is a foster dog in the Cocker Spaniel Rescue network, last seen wearing a U of Florida gator collar, with a Cocker Spaniel Rescue tag. If found, please call the number on the tag or 979.297.8897.

I am going to take my Bassetts out to the beach this week. I might as well go to the Pass and we will look for the cocker/ Gator lover. Also, I am going to print and post some pictures of Hart around UTMB and the Island. May St. Fransis look after your darling and keep him safe till his return to you.

Thanks to all for the prayers and support
Hart wandered off following his nose as Cockers often do from my friends beach house in the Sea Isle subdivision on Friday the 24Th
I was working on the boat and Desi and Hart were laying on the concrete watching me next time i looked up Hart was gone I spent the next 6 hours looking. I made some hasty paper signs and placed one at the marina and one in the post office
Next morning the sign in the post office was gone
Which made me wonder if some one had found him
and didn't want anyone to see the sign.
I'm returning Wed to resume the search along with
some Cocker Spaniel Rescue people

I know people that live in Sea Isle, I will make sure they keep a look out.
Good Luck to you!

Please keep us posted on this story. I hope that this will have a happy ending, as I am a Mommy to 3 dogs and would be devastated to loose any of them.

Regards,
Grace
