It's not my headline - it's from Helping Animals, which has a disheartening follow up to the city workers in Jourdanton, Texas, accused of drowning shelter dogs by dropping their cages into the sewer plant. Here's my original post from last fall. Today, however, no charges have been filed. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |
That's pretty sick and depraved....those city administrators ought to be seriously ashamed and embarrased for allowing (promoting, really) that sort of behavior by one of their own officials!
I came across this by accident and was surprised to see a link to a dog named "Miracle". I run a animal sanctuary outside of Jourdanton texas and I took "Miracle" out of the pound. When I got to the pound Chantan Morin and Dan Nick were both at the pound and Chantan told Dan he could cut the collar out with a knife.I told them no because it needed to be surgically removed and that is when I took her from the pound. She had a collar deep in neck. The wound has healed and she is very happy living at the sanctuary. I get no support from the county for the sanctuary and plus Jourdanton Texas has a strong dislike for me. I have begged this county for support but to no avail. I will keep the sanctuary going whether Atascosa County likes it or not.
Sincerely,
Tri-city animal sanctuary
