For years, we've all been told by our veterinarians to vaccinate our pets and our children. In recent years, though, there's been a backlash against the standard medical establishment protocols of what shots to give, and whether they're even necessary. If you're looking for another view on pet vaccinations, head to this site, Critter Advocacy, from veterinarian Dr. Bob Rogers, who founded the the Critter Fixer Pet Hospital in Spring. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
Hi Lisa
I totally agree with Dr. Rogers but I own a boarding kennel in Porter, Holiday Kennels. We have to deal with over a dozen veterinarians that care for over 2000 client dogs and cats. The average pet owner has only the words and "wisdom" of their veterinarians that they pay their hard earned money to. When Dr. Rogers had his vaccination article in the paper months ago my phone rang off the hook with questions of "do we need to vaccinate our dogs/cats to board with you?" After the 100th call I posted a notice (with the article) stating that if we could get 50% of the veterinarians in the Kingwood,Porter,New Caney area to agree to the "new" way of vaccinating we could go with it. Well after talking to many doctors in this area it was a NO GO. Think about it... besides lack of information regarding good studies these doctors don't want to take that income out of their pockets.
