Cloudy skies have returned and so will the rain later on today. Rain will develop this afternoon and continue as showers through Friday. We'll get a bit of a break Saturday. Sunday, cloudy and damp weather comes back for the last half of the weekend.
Long term, computer models are showing a big change in the weather pattern next week. Storms systems will organize in the Gulf Of Alaska and track into Oregon & Washington. The wetter and cooler pattern will drive snow down to very low levels. Next Monday night we might see snow as low as 1000ft.
This far out I'm not ready to talk about snow levels getting any lower. Some model runs indicate the possibility of snow on the valley floor. As of now I've not crossed that bridge.

It is 9:35am here in Otis, Or where we sit at about 40 foot sea level. It has been snowing now for about 45 minutes. The accumulation is about 3/4 of an inch at this time and still snowing heavily. The ODOT camera in Lincoln City at Logan Rd wll show the same. The snow doesn't appear to be sticking to pavement in Lincoln City but is on the outter area roads. Murray Hill on highway 18 at just under 700 feet shows snow is building rather well on the highway.
My home in Siletz has about 1/2 an inch of snow and it is still snowing. At about 8am there was only a trace of snow but in just and hour and a half we have accumulated quite a bit.It is quite beautiful as the snow is sticking on the trees and the ground.

I live in Otis, Oregon and just wanted to let you know that it is most differently snowing here.
I understand that Otis is a small town and that we shadow Lincoln City. However, I do believe that this time the news should be from the small guy.

IM in Clatskanie oregon, in the little foot hills. it has been snowing off and on since last night,. but really started coming down at 5 am. it is now 9am and still light snow fall.
