Welcome to the new year, looks like mother nature won't give us a break. Rain, wind, flooding and low elevation snow. Anybody else hear hoof beats, from the four horseman of the weather apocalypse! A fire hose has been turned on the Pacific Northwest. A rainfall record in Portland 1.25" today. Some locations in the coast range have seen over 5". The heaviest rain tapers off after midnight
Colder air will arrive and snow levels will fall dramatically. Early on Friday snow will be sticking above 500ft, I think a couple of inches are possible. Light amounts of snow are possible on the valley floor early in the day. Snow levels will stay at low elevations through the weekend. Milder but continued wet weather will persist through next week.
Here we go again!

Hey Dave, you doing double duty again? Seems like Matt only shows up for the snow storms...where is he, back in Mexico?
That's ok, our household is all part of the Dave Salesky fanclub anyway.
Happy New Year!
Four Horsemen of the "weather" apocalypse? I like the analogy there Dave! It is snowing right now @ PDX... What are the odds huh? It is Sunday... Will this continue?
