Wow! When will the snow stop, it's the question I keep hearing. The answer is a little complicated. Snow showers with the current storm will gradually taper off later today and tonight. The last place to see snow stop will be the Cascades. Tuesday we should see a bit of a break before the next storm arrives. Yes I said next storm. Wednesday morning we'll see snow on the valley floor in the morning hours. At best maybe a couple of inches will fall. Temperatures will moderate, highs will climb into the upper 30s. Snow levels will be pulled off the valley floor, rising to about 1000ft. The main push of the next weather system hits Christmas Day. I think we'll have a rain / snow event on the valley floor. Significant snow will fall in the Cascades, Coast Range and elevations above 1000ft.

Temperatures should slowly warm by the weekend. Snow In Portland and the valley slowly melt. With most locations having over a foot of snow of the ground, we have have snow on the ground a week from now.
