Ah...The life of a producer here at the big 8 ski. Sean Jacks, our assistant producer for the noon news shows up to work wearing flip flops and an aloha shirt. When the weather heats up around here there are some serious advantages to working behind the camera.
My fashion advice for the next couple days is dress like Sean. It's going to get hot, the hottest temperatures we've had since last Summer.
Today I would classify as just very warm. Tomorrow is just down right hot! Like 90 degrees and higher hot. 90 degree days in Portland while rare aren't unheard of. As you can see from the graphic above the most number of days we've had at 90 degrees or hotter is just 3. First in 1947 and again in 1987. It's hard to believe that my forecast low tonight, 60 degrees is actually warmer than our high temperature on Tuesday, 59 degrees! The 90 and above temperatures should only last a day. Slightly cooler air will begin to filter in from coast Saturday and begin a slow cool down.
