Netflix invests in Hillsboro
The NY Times biz section has a lengthy profile of Netflix's customer service call center in Hillsboro.
What's interesting is that Netflix has gotten rid of e-mail support in favor of phone support from real people in the U.S.
Netflix set up shop here a year ago, shunning other lower-cost placesWay to go, Oregonians! Use that friendlier voice.
in the United States and overseas, because it thought that Oregonians
would present a friendlier voice to its customers. Then in July,
Netflix took an unusual step for a Web-based company: it eliminated
e-mail-based customer service inquiries. Now all questions, complaints
and suggestions go to the Hillsboro call center, which is open 24 hours
a day. The company’s toll-free number, previously buried on the Web
site, is now prominently displayed. (Link)

actually whoever posted the comment about the military not saying everything, sometimes they can't, have you ever thought about that. Have you thought about what might happen if something was said? Come on. I guess you really don't understand unless you were a military spouse. I am tired of people thinking they know everything there is to know about the military and what goes on and they are no part of the military. Why don't you people get educated instead of being pissed. and judgemental.? Yes, I am a military spouse and I am very proud of our troops.
