8:59 -- With Admans and Fish the winners, the question is what does the City Council look like in the 'coming months and then into next year...Fish probably becomes a Potter ally for the short term, giving ther mayor the chance to move a final agenda with Dan and Nick's votes...then Nick has to figure how he plays it so that he maintains a close enough working relationship with Adams when the new Council forms around Mayor Adams 8:55 Beaverton mayor's race has Doyle with a early big lead over Drake
8:18 Merkley moves ahead -- I'm expecting that this means this will see-saw back and forth for most of the night 8:15 Statewide races; Kate Brown starts with a lead as expected...Novick and Kroger have early lead -- that would be an indication that "change voter" has moved down the ballot
7:45 Fifteen minutes before polls close -- Oregon Primaries have had a jolt of energy from the Presidential contest -- but it's unclear how new voters will perform down ballot and what "change" means for Oregon voters-- most analysts expect close races for Democrats in the US Senate, AG, Republicans in the 5th Congressional District and the nonpartisan raaces for Portland City Council and Multnomah County Commissioner Len Bergstein 7 CommentsLeave a comment |

On MSNBC they were giving exit poll information from Oregon. They were giving statistics about how many women voted for each, etc. How do they get this information since we don't actually exit.
Novick and Merkley are probably much better known in the greater Portland Metro area, and upper valley. Do you think there will be a larger undervote in the rest of the state, for this race?

I haven't been so excited for an election in a while...I like to vote on election day so I filled out my ballot and dropped it off at Albina Library earlier this afternoon.
Oh yea, and I also registered Democrat for the first time since the 80's...been independent up until now.
Been watching the coverage on CNN...fun to see us on National coverage...Yeah Oregon matters!
Oregon didn't really matter...every one knew that Obama was going to win Oregon, and everyone knew that Obama was going to win anyways.
do we add the paul vote to the vote for change???
It's great to see that Ron Paul got 14% of the Republican vote at last count.
