For Tuesday's Oregon Primary, we invited several bloggers inside our KGW newsroom to blog live during our coverage of the election.
Our goal was to knock down a few of the old walls between the viewers and those reporting the news, to make our process more "transparent."
KGW Reporter Joe Smith interviewed political analyst Len Bergstein and blogger Jack Bogdanski on-air and on our continuous streaming coverage on KGW.com.
We created an Interactive/Survey page on KGW.com and invited viewers/readers to comment on the issues, and also on our KGW coverage.
Len blogged about the election from his perspective, and Jack blogged from his, in KGW.com's Talk of the Town Blog.

Several other bloggers were in our newsroom, soaking up theatmosphere of election night and posting their impressions to their own blogs.
Personally, I found the coverage more interesting than previous elections because of this increased breadth in viewpoints, and afterwards Jack Bogdanski blogged about his experience in Jack Bog's Blog and LeLo from NoPo did the same.
We'd be interested in your feedback, too. Just click on "comments" below to weigh in. We're already planning for November's election.
