Looks like a Portland institution may follow a more recent city landmark to New York City. On the heels of the Ace Hotel announcing it's opening a hotel in the Big Apple comes speculation coffee roaster/shop Stumptown will follow. A blog in The New York Times offers up the rationale behind the speculation. Matt Lounsbury, Stumptown's director of operations, said: "We've had discussions, but nothing's solidified. Our eyes are open for opportunities, but so far our expansion is mostly focused on the Pacific Northwest." The big question - can New Yorkers handle coffee Portland-style? 2 CommentsLeave a comment |
