Recently in Blazers Blog CategoryBy Craig Edwards It's a busy time down at the Blazers' practice facility, as they work out prospects before the NBA Draft. All sorts of names have visited Tualatin. But one name that hasn't worked out for the team is stirring up all kinds of debate.... Kevin Love. The Blazers have invited the former Lake Oswego star to work out prior to the draft, but as of this writing, he has yet to RSVP. For some reason, this has... By Craig Edwards Lightning did not strike twice for the Blazers. After hitting the Draft Lottery jackpot in 2007, Portland heard its name called early in the 2008 proceedings. They're scheduled to pick 13th this year... emphasis on the "scheduled." GM Kevin Pritchard and company have a lot of options with their pick. They can hold position, and draft for need and depth. They can trade the pick for a veteran or future pick. ... Just when it seemed the last piece had fallen into place for the Blazers, it turns out the sky was falling, too. At least that's how it has to seem for fans - and by the look of him, Blazers GM Kevin Pritchard. Check out the video of him officially announcing Oden's surgery. They claim having Greg Oden and Kevin Durant playing on the west coast, and in the pacific time zone, is bad for the NBA, because east coast fans won't be able to see them (for the time zone illiterates out there, games that start at 7:00 or 7:30 at night in... Blazer tickets are going fast! The Ace, Brian Warner, and I covered the Blazer ticket sales today. We were in the offices and the phone calls kept coming. They had close to two dozen people answering Phones and I didn't see one of them not handling a call while we were there. The Blazers say they did more than one million dollars in new ticket sales the night of By Joe Becker How many times have you heard anyone say the Blazers are number one in the last few years...and mean it? Blazermania is back! The Blazers have the number one pick in the NBA draft. How lucky is that....the Blazers had about a 5 in 100 chance to jump to number one...and they got it. Ace Sports Photographer Brian Warner and I were at the Blazers Draft Party at "The Venue" in North East Portland and what a wil... |
