Author (#246)July 2007 ArchivesLet me begin by saying this is a sensitive topic among many people....and I fully respect and understand that. That said, I don't grasp how history can dictate and possibly manipulate schools and communities in a moments notice. I'm referring to what has been "proposed" by one former student on the Oregon coast. He's a Native American who attended a game last year with his family in Mollala. While there, he witnessed a non-Native Ameri... I'll be honest....I'm getting tired of deceit, dishonesty, and malodorous behavior in sports! It's starting to wear on me. And these days, I only have 3 people to blame. Okay, that felt kinda weird writing that title! Thanks to the success of OSU (and ONLY that)....the Ducks are bringing back collegiate baseball for the first time since 1981. Thanks for joining the party Pat Kilkenny. The timing couldn't be better....and more laughable. (I'll explain the "laughable" part in a moment). Actually, it's a good thing for UO and the entire state.
