By Joe Becker I haven't really been rooting for any teams in the NFL Playoffs this year...but now, I have to admit that I would like to see a Cardinals-Steelers Superbowl. As many people know, I grew up in St. Louis. Yes, I was a Cardinals football fan. In fact, the first NFL game I saw in person was November 10, 1968. You may have guessed. The Steelers had a QB named Dick Shiner and were the worst team in the NFL that season going 2-11-1. The Cardinals actually went 9-4-1, but missed the playoffs(as usual). I followed the Steelers into the 70's because I had seen them in person...and was a big Pittsburgh fan in college. Obviously, I followed the Cardinals too, but they only made the Playoffs three times in 27 years in St. Louis and were buried all three times. The Steelers went on to win four Super Bowls in six years. So, even though I haven't been a Cardinals fan for more than two decades and I'm not a Steelers fan either, it might be interesting to see a Cardinals-Steelers Superbowl. It's been 40 years and two months since my first NFL game...and I think it would be nice to see the Cardinals and Steelers again...in SUPER BOWL 43! 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

i think you will get your wish, it would be awesome if the cardinals was to win the superbowl, but i think the football gods want the steelers to be the first team to win 6 superbowl trophies.
