Sorry for the delayed posting. This afternoon I was in Sky 8 covering a fire in Clackamas County. When I wasn't focused on the flames, the vantage point from Sky 8 gave me a great opportunity to see how beautiful this area really is. It was a such a great day for a flight. Now just one week from race day, I can't wait to see our great state leg by leg. Having only lived in Portland for two years now, there is much I haven't seen or explored. I think the part of this race that I'm looking forward to the most is the chance to see our state in slow motion. So often we zip by that forest or that field at 55mph. Beginning Friday we'll all have the chance to celebrate where we live. For this entry, please write in with your favorite spot along the route. I'd love to hear about that perfect picture you took or that amazing field you found outside your van window. We are lucky to live in this great place. Let's share in the pride together. -Scott Burton- |
