July 2007 ArchivesLet me begin by saying this is a sensitive topic among many people....and I fully respect and understand that. That said, I don't grasp how history can dictate and possibly manipulate schools and communities in a moments notice. I'm referring to what has been "proposed" by one former student on the Oregon coast. He's a Native American who attended a game last year with his family in Mollala. While there, he witnessed a non-Native Ameri... By Craig Edwards Of course... As a loyal KGW employee, I can not, in good conscience, actively encourage you to watch another channel. However, this Sunday at noon pacific time, if you say... "accidentally" drop your TV remote and it pushes you to another channel (its network's letters match the first three of the alphabet), then you might just see a pretty good football game. As the second half gets underway here in 2007, Mariners fans can rejoice. After three years in last place, Seattle is a serious contender. However, what most people don't think about is that ... by Evan Chevrier Wednesday is every sports guy's worst nightmare. Its the slowest sports day of the year. Its one of only two days on the calendar, where there isn't a single professional, or college sporting event. December 24th can be equally brutal, but usually there is some football news to talk about. by Evan Chevrier Sonics owner Clay Bennett and new general manager Sam Presti aren't making any friends in Seattle. In fact, it almost looks as if they are trying to alienate Seattle fans. |
