July 3, 2009 ArchivesToday we moved the female fledgling out of the intensive care unit and into a regular recovery cage. We have cleared some of the plaque from her mouth and throat and she is now able to eat on her own. Her weight is still really low but her attitude is much better. Her swollen eye is mostly open now and she appears to be seeing out of it. Emaciated birds are always a bit dicey in terms of recovery and we still do not know the extent of the tiss... |
