Hope everyone (that can drive in bad weather) is able to make it out as we begin the big thaw.
We've been slammed for more than ten days now working the storms around the clock and some Xmas relaxation is overdeserved by the KGW crews and staff.

So take it easy, by the weekend streets should be looking a bit better, the forecasters tell us.

Stir crazy yet schoolkids?

Not to contradict the city or anything, but if you're in Portland proper the streets are mainly FINE out there. Some patchy spots, some slush, but thus goes winter.
Go do some square dancing at the Sellwood Public house on SE 13th.

Saturday is the annual Portland SantaCon - if you've never heard of it, that's where hundreds of decadent and depraved St Nick-suited revelers spread Christmas chaos through downtown.

This year it seems the barroom romp was going to be under a scroogier eye by the police, some said, so alternate plans were made to take the party to Hillsboro.
