Some sad news as the economic meltdown continues to devour old media in an Internet age - AM 970s Tim Riley was let go from the Rick Emerson team on Monday by CBS Radio.
Saturday is the annual Portland SantaCon - if you've never heard of it, that's where hundreds of decadent and depraved St Nick-suited revelers spread Christmas chaos through downtown. This year it seems the barroom romp was going to be under a scroogier eye by the police, some said, so alternate plans were made to take the party to Hillsboro.
Holiday Ale fest - in THE SQUARE - starts Wednesday - careful around that new studio people. Local rock star and author Willy Vlautin from Richmond Fontaine plays the Doug Fir Wednesday night. |
