Been awhile since I've been able to post, a combination of tech issues, vacations and a very busy newsroom. But you are not here for excuses.

Friday, I recommend the Jealous Butcher showcase at Someday Lounge, with the valiant Arms, Wow a& Fl...

Trying to ignore the reality check that summer isn't going to last forever, I'm weedend warring, trying to pack as much as possible into the days of paradise.

Bevvy of bliss
In what many Portlanders call an " Average Weekend," this hot August season brings us a cornucopia of bounty from the river to alley and a bonus in the western skies.

First: The Waterfront is getting no lack of action this summer as the Bite of Oregon kicks off with exploding deliciousness fo...

Cripes, there's a lot happening this weekend as we try to cram as much summer in while we still can.

Quick time

It's the dog days of summer - or High Summer as I like to call it - and you know what that means: Not much time for blogging on the computer, there's too much to do!

If you're venturing downtown for beers, it's the big one, Oregon Brewer's fest at Waterfront. Get there early or don't bother, the crowds grow bigger, louder and ...

MTV does PDX

OK, it's all officially over - MTV does PDX.
In this new MTV News clip they talk to all kinds of transplanted Portland hipsters about the music, the rain, food and coffee. Music selections span the gamut from electro indie pop all the way to synth emo.

I hear the Real World is shooting somewhere soon too.
Buckle up....
