Seemigly out of nowhere - this 'Scion Garagefest' lineup popped into our calendar a couple months ago - and the big day is just about here.

Taking place in Portland's Blocks of Rock downtown Saturday, the stellar lineup includes the legendary 13th Floor Elevators singer Roky Erickson headlining, along with Portland's Pierced Arrows, and a host of bands at Satyricon, Dante's Berbati's and Someday Lounge starting @ 3 PM.

The list includes The Dirtbombs, Jay Reatard, The Black Keys and dozens more scratchy guitars for you to run back and forth across Burnside for.

At this point, the entry will be first come first serve for wristband holders - but East End on SE Grand is also holding garage-y events on Friday to celebrate.

Plus - holy cow! Blazer legend Bill Walton is coming to tha 'hood - for the 1-6 PM grand opening of the now food carted Mississippi Marketplace on N Skidmore and Miss.

Now if they'd only tell me when the new beerhall opens.
