Cheap fun and Woodstock memories

No shortage of cramming in the remaining summer fun this weekend - whether it's Flicks on the bricks showing (a local news favorite) Anchorman
Or the vert-street spectaculars of the Dew Tour at the Rose Quarter.
Still another week until summer's unofficial goodbye last blast at the adult soapbox derby, we hope to have pix this year.

Woodstock memories: Joan Baez plays the Oregon Zoo Friday night - this on the 40th anniversary of the hippy mudfest known as Woodstock. I always liked her version 'the night the drove old Dixie down.'

So anyhooo - you MWesterners may yearn for a better dog among the relaxing pops and waves of summer's ball game, Wayne's is here to save the day.
The 'Chi-town throwdown' on Sunday will have Cubs fun, discount Chicago red hots and Old Style in a can.
It's at 3901 NE MLK starting at 11:20 a.m.
