This week serves up stuff-your-face goodness on two fronts, jeez no ... three!

After running their Saturday morning-only cafe on Hawthorne - Kenny and Zukes is on full-time with the NYC style deli fixes that have been virtually absent from the Rose City (No, I'm not ignoring you Kornblatt's)
Pastrami piled to the gazoink, pickles, blintzes, chopped livah, and oy the bagels. Breakfast lunch and dinner now served up at the restaurant on Stark and 10th, right next to Ace Hotel. Rumors say K&Z may also soon do room service at the trendy overnight spot too.

Next up - lunch at PSU Friday with pals Pure Country Gold Rain or shine, it'll be Pat carving out screaming rhythm and soul through that Twin while Jake bashes away enough to get the girls all a go-go. Park Blocks if no rain, inside the Smith Center cafeteria just in case.

And speaking of PCG - they got good and greasy on their last mini tour and did a mouthful on one of newest favoritist blogs - the Portland Hamburger Blog

If there's one thing I can't get enough of, it's burgers. OK really, it's pizza. And pastrami.
Nevertheless, this beefy blog is an excellent way to navigate Portland's burger joints, from brewpubs and dives to the high-end NYT-fawned over restaurant types.

Post - I'm considering starting a Portland pizza blog, but would need a lot of help tasting, ya know. It'd be especially helpful since Portland still has no decent pizza (biZZAM! Bring it!)
