The story is about the suicide of Senator Gordon Smith's son, Garrett, just before his 22nd birthday. John and Casey spent a day at the Senator's eastern Oregon home doing the interview with Senator Smith and his wife, Sharon. The Smiths talk about Garrett and about how they missed the warning signs that Garrett was moving toward taking his own life.
