My name is Rod Gramer. I'm the executive news director at KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8. Welcome to my blog. I plan to write regularly in this space to help explain what happens behind the scenes here at NewsChannel 8. I find that many people are very interested in how the news is produced and why we make the editorial decisions we make. I often hear from viewers that are either happy with something we have done or unhappy.
