Hey-- this is from the morning show where we talked about the Miss Teen USA South Carolina flub. It's an interesting take on the whole thing.. I pulled it from the Gazette Times in Corvallis.

Yes I do think everyone is being way too hard on Miss South Carolina. She is only 18!! It is not easy being in front of a camera when you arent used to it. Anyone can freeze when they see that little red light staring them in the face. I took a speech class in college and had to do a 5 min. speech in front of a camera and no matter how much I practiced, as soon as I knew the camera was on, I froze and it was the longest 5 min. of my life. Not to mention I too became the laughing stock of my class. People are cruel and don't stop to think that it could have been them!!
