January 2009 ArchivesI should have known. I was skeptical as I fingered the sleek white box that fit easily in one hand. "Maternity pantyhose" it said. "One size fits all". Which somehow never, ever includes me. When I asked the sales gal to open the teeny tiny box of black tights and she pulled out a thin, wrinkly ribbon of black.. I should have walked away. "These are maternity tights? They look like regular ones." "Well, they have l... Okay, I'll be at home, minding my own business, and WHAM-OH; a weird back spasm. Like a mini-muscle cramp. Mild, not sharp. And then as fast as it comes.. it's gone. Yes, yes, yes.. I've looked it all up on-line and will talk to my doctor about it at my appointment Monday. The good news is, I've only had it happen a few times, and only when I'm lying on my side reading. And it's mild. I would describe it as strong enough to feel,... Well, that went well. I was totally jazzed to see Krist Novoselic (after 20 years had passed since I first remembered meeting him pre-Nirvava's explosion onto the music scene).
