I will apologize to each and every one of you who is totally 100% against the idea of it snowing tomorrow. I understand. It's just I feel soo ripped off after this past weekend's storm. Our neighborhood got what I can only describe as a 'dusting' and even that's a little generous. I was awed driving into downtown Portland on Monday and seeing the mess on the streets. But tomorrow is another day.. and another opportunity. If it does snow (please, please, please, please), I sincerely hope there are no injury accidents. It's too unrealistic to wish for no accidents at all, so I'll go for that, instead. I've got a few photos to share. The first I think I will call "Why My Dog Will Trash My House Someday When I Least Expect It".
See, I got Harley this WAY CUTE locally made doggie jacket. The husband raised a few stink-eyes at the dog boutique when he loudly told me that, "Babe, Harley is a dog. She is not a person. She will not like that jacket." And, you know what, he was totally right. As soon as I put it on her she immediately started this pathetic shuffle, as if rheumatoid arthritis and old age had gripped her weary bones. She's one year old, by the way. We jokingly call it the 'magic jacket of aging +15 life force damage'. I mean, look at her ears. Even they look defeated. And you can actually hear the husband's eyes roll when I ask her if she'd like to wear it before she goes outside. Oh well. The rest of the pics are from McGorge Scott. If you're new to his pics-- here's the story: we email back and forth from time to time. He lives in the Gorge and has the most amazing wildlife pics. With that, enjoy some serious snowfall from the gorge:

Harley does look a bit defeated in that coat! I remember her well from taking care of her at the humane society, and you're right...she has waaayy too much attitude to play "dress-up dolls". But if she spends a lot of time outside in this really cold weather, it's for her own good. Just break out lots of cookies every time you want to put it on her, and hopefully after awhile she'll be begging for you to put on that coat. Very cute doggy, glad you're enjoying her!
What great pictures!! Harley is adorable.. She looks absolutely breathtaking in her jacket by the way ;-)
Yes, let's keep our fingers crossed for snow. We are in NE and it's just not happening for us yet. Kids are home - no school - and they are about to build their very first gingerbread house. A little snow coming down in the background would be the perfect accompaniment, don't you think?
Have a great day Stephanie!
Hi Jane!! I'm so glad you get to see how things turned out for her. She is such a goofball and has totally blossomed (for lack of a less cheesy way of describing it) into a great mutt. She is 100% non-destructive in the house (you never know with a new dog), loves wrumples, loves chasing squirrels, and loves us. Like Milo, she started out shy.. but it doesn't take long.
I totally agree with your husband a dog only needs a collar and leash (when required). It's been a while since I have seen him and I could totally see that from him.
Congrads on the new show and expanding your family.
From a former co-worker of your husband.
