If you've been watching at 7pm, you know that producer Aaron and I love Twitter. But maybe you don't know what it is or how it works. Well, we posed the question to our Twitter friends of how best to explain it.. and they came through with some awesome suggestions. I like this clip, personally, which 'Delta Park Project' on Twitter forwarded to us. It'll take only about 2 minutes of your time but really gives it to you in a nutshell. Of course, if anyone else has any suggestions just leave a blog comment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddO9idmax0o You can sign up here, if you like: www.twitter.com. On Twitter, I'm 'StephStricklen' and you can find producer Aaron and the show Twitter by searching for 'TheSquare' (provided the search feature is working, but that's another story entirely.......) PS. I use the TwitterFon application on my iPhone when I'm out of the office. Works great. Not sure what others use, anyone?? PSS. I'm in a rotten mood today. How sad is that? It's a Friday, AND a payday Friday and I've been a grouch all day. Lame. I gotte get my 'tude in check... 11 CommentsLeave a comment |

I like Twitterrific for my iPhone and desktop usage, it's little and fast.
Also, you can just go
http://twitter.com/StephStricklen
and
http://twitter.com/TheSquare
To send people right to your page. Hope that helps!
Glad to be of assistance Steph.

I also use Twitterrific on the desktop (Mac OS X only though), but have recently switched to Tweetie on the iPhone (I used to use Twitterrific there too). I've also played with Tweetsville and Twinkle on the iPhone too.
Twitterrific on the iPhone is the best and TweetDeck on the desktop rocks!!
...and the Portland twitter community also rocks.
I love using Twitter as a means to directly message friends and family. It is also an awesome way to spread news without having to send multiple messages to multiple recipients. On my Blackberry Curve I use TwitterBerry (for you non-iPhone users out there), and TwitterFox is a great plugin for Firefox!
Hi Steph!
We like using Twhirl on our desktops at work...a great way to monitor the stream.
I have a Blackberry and use TwitterBerry when I'm out of the office. Works fine!
@TheSquare Twitter is telegram for the Internet age. Stop. But shared publicly for all to see and respond to. Stop. At 140 characters. Stop.
For me, Twitter is part mini-blog, part chat room, part social and part professional network. The proliferating nature of Twitter is amazing: Once you start following a few people, you find yourself following their friends, then you follow their friends, and so on. Also, by following the news from KGW and other sources makes the access to information brief and immediate.
On a personal note, it's a great tool to keep up with the daily events of your friends and family. I'm 35 years old and my mother checks my Twitter page daily to keep tabs on me!
my original comments where denied; basically, the owner needs to be held accountable for all the losses of this most recent accident with the pit bull and the little girl and her father;muzzel, muzzel is the ans.,cbb
Hey Steph! I just set up TwitterFon on my iPhone, and I love it. Twinkle is fun too, I prefer the interface of it (It's prettier, to me). Hope all is well!
On iPhone I switch between Twittelator and Twiterific. On the computer I haven't found anything better than Tweetdeck.
And why aren't you following @pdxpipeline? :)
