Just got the word about an hour and a half ago that I will need to double up on my visa's for China-- so that I can extend my stay. This after the consulate in San Francisco assured me there was no problem using my NBC provided credential for travel (it was supposed to serve as a three month visa-- which it does, but NBC news is now recommending people double up to play it extra safe. It would suck for me to get there only to get denied my play-time at the end over a misunderstanding.)

That's alright. NBC gave us a couple of options for last minute visa applications and I should have my packet out Monday. Cross your fingers. :-)
