Oooph. I tried one of everything Drew had sent over to the anchor desk-- and let's just say I have at least an extra mile in tonite's run.

I'm looking forward to this weekend. Well, mostly. The husband and I have shopping to do (and I'm NOT a shopper-- so add on the crowds and I really freak out). But, it's my fault for waiting. So, maybe I'll see you at the mall.

One thing I just pulled off the wires.. the headline totally caught my eye.:
Bend hospital redesigns neonatal unit to mimic uterus

BEND, Ore. (AP) -- Most of the country's neonatal intensive care
units look pretty much the same: Premature babies and other sickly
infants are kept all together, in a large, brightly-lit room, where
nurses and family members bustle in and out constantly.
But the new NICU at St Charles Medical Center in Bend is
different. It features mostly private, dimly-lit units that mimic
the dark, fluid-filled environment inside a mother's womb to which
preemies are accustomed.
The hospital is on the leading edge of an emerging national
trend. The hope is that by creating an environment that mimics the
uterus, the hospitals will allow babies to develop with fewer of
the problems sometimes seen in preemies. They include learning
disabilities, eye damage and a higher risk of some chronic
diseases.

Anyway.. I don't know how long this next clip will be up. If I was NBC's David Gregory I'd insist it get pulled immediately. But, I gotta give props to a man who will dance regardless of ability. Way to go, David.... :-)
