As the resident Google Earth guru here, I'm thrilled to learn from BikePortland that Metro's excellent Bike There! map is available as a .kmz file. This means you can see all of the routes in 3D, flying and zooming to your heart's content. If you don't have Google Earth yet...



Portland the #2 Green city worldwide

Grist.org has declared Portland the second-greenest city in the world, only behind Reykjavik, Iceland.

It's a short article; there's nothing ground-breaking for those of who live here, but it's great recognition.

Variety is reporting that NBC Universal networks will have a green-themed week this November.

"We will have every single one of our primetime shows with storylines
themed to green, with our characters from Michael Scott (''The Office')
