I'm not sure I could do it, but I've got to hand it to Melanie Rios and Rob Bolman of Eugene. The couple lives among 30 others at an "eco-village" where they grow most of their on food, get around on bikes, and air-dry their clothes. They also agreed to wife-swap. Well, to be part of the ABC reality TV show, to be more specific. The TV show takes wives from widely different backgrounds and has them swap homes for a week, all under the watchful eye of the camera lens. So you can guess what the family is like that this Green Eugene couple is switching with - a North Carolina family of three...that owns five SUVs. The episode is set to air Monday night on ABC. The Eugene couple says any humiliation that results is worth it if they can spread their message about sustainable living. Now that's committment to the environment. |
