Don't try this at home: The Cart Bike

cartbike.jpgJust dying to get yourself a cargo bike, but don't have $2,500 lying around to buy a Bakfiets from Clever Cycles?

Instructables tells you how to make a terrifying frankenbike combining a shopping cart with a mountain bicycle.

On test rides it does not corner well. Steering is very wide turns and sometimes the cart teeters on two of the wheels on one side. I'll definitely be playing around with the details. (Link)
Sure, it doesn't really turn corners, and the front forks are attached to the shopping cart with zip ties(!!), but... it's a shopping cartbike. How awesome is that?
