As the resident Google Earth guru here, I'm thrilled to learn from BikePortland that Metro's excellent Bike There! map is available as a .kmz file. This means you can see all of the routes in 3D, flying and zooming to your heart's content. If you don't have Google Earth yet, download it here.
If you're new to bike commuting, or just looking for a new ride, it's a great map. You can buy the dead tree version online and at a whole bunch of local bike shops and book stores. Also great for route planning: byCycle.org, a site that that gives you turn-by-turn directions, optimized for safe cycling. |
