This isn't me, but you get the point... I'm tired!!!!
Since I'm back on the early morning schedule (3am wake-up) and it's now almost 3pm, I'm going to keep this short and sweet.
Thanks to everyone who tuned in to watch me "come out of the crate" this morning.
I'm glad the day is over though.
For more thoughts on the morning, check out my "Out & About" page on KGW.com: http://www.kgw.com/drewcarney/stories/kgw_022707_life_crate_reveal.109149f.html
So what do we do for an encore??
You know the answer by now... you'll have to tune in tomorrow morning to find out!!!

Yawwwwn.......Oh Drew, I got up at 4:30 to see you buddy! You made us wait all that time just to get to eat that wonderful food at your "unveiling"? You dirty dog. Just kidding, it was a perfect entrance and very entertaining (get it? entertaining?) way for you to finally show your face in the mornings. Now please tell me I don't have to (yawwwwwn excuse me) tune in at 4:30 every morning. I live in Mosier (which is on the east side of Hood River, west side of The Dalles) so the constant traffic reports and snow stuff kind of got to me (it seemed like the same 10 minutes over and over again) but I could not turn the TV off until your appearance (I mean after, not during)! You make sure to have fun and most of all (yawwwwn), try to be on at a reasonable time each morning, ok? Oh, and I didn't know you got married. Congrats! TTYL

I watched your debut and I am glad I did!! You are still the same great personality as I remember. It is a gain for channel 8 and a loss for the other guys. I know what morning news I am going to watch.

Ok, let me give you some backstory: one morning, a long time ago, I got up to check on the weather with Andy (remember Andy?) and see where Drew was. The weather was there but....*cricket....cricket*...no Drew. No mention of Drew, nothing. Next day, same thing, no Drew. I thought, ok, a vacation is a good thing. I waited another week - no Drew. I finally wrote a letter to the station (you know the one I mean) and got back a rubber stamp, form letter that said, in essence, blah blah blah, Drew moving on to greener pastures blah blah wish him the best in his endeavors etc. etc. blah blah. I KNEW something was up. But there was nothing I could do so....I was sad.
Then today, my friend Rochelle Ashby, (who has also missed you and written you) called me and told me you were on Channel 8! Woo hoo. Glad you are back on Drew. I have missed Turkey Bowling and all that other great things you do. (Re-thinking the taser is probably a good idea, but I laughed myself stupid when you did that) I'm really glad you are still in our area, what a relief - now I can watch TV in the morning again. Best of luck and welcome back.

Drew, so happy to see you again, I had stopped watching after you left 12. Just so happened I started to watch News 8. What a wonderful suprise. I had a funny feeling it was you in the box. I watch News 8 from Goldendale Wa. I also enjoy Michael Convery in the AM, not for the traffic, but to see the color of shirt he is wearing. He always looks so nice. Sooooooo glad you are back on and hope you are allowed to be you.

You seem to have a lot of friends posting here. I am not one of them. You are not funny, not cute and not welcome when I want news in the morning not any naked part of you showing. You come off as obnoxious and I can't believe KGW has stooped so low as to let you have regular airtime. Now I turn to Channel 6 when your face appears on my screen. Too much of you and I'll switch for good.
Not a fan,
Diana

Drew, you were worth the wait. I only watch channel 8 so had no idea what I had been missing. You are great, we all need some humor in the morning and you've got what it takes. Not to mention you're easy on the eyes. Keep it up and dont do a thing to your nose!!!

Sorry to disagree with others but I find your segments annoying. they are just too over the top for early morning TV. Calm down. You're not that funny.

Hi Drew,
It was so great to see you on channel 8 this week! Honestly, I have complained to my husband every morning since you disappeared. I mean no disrespect, but... (CONTENT EDIT) ...that made me channel surf to 8 and there you where! Anywho...best of luck and I will be watching your segments to see what's happening in my city from now on!
