It was only fitting that Kevin Duckworth's memorial service was held at the Coliseum. The big man, who helped lead the Blazers to the NBA Finals twice in the 90's, passed away this week on the Oregon coast. It's not often I get phone calls at 6:30AM in the morning...but I got one today. It was KGW calling and sadly I learned that former Blazer Kevin Duckworth had passed away. Kevin was a terrific player making the NBA All-star team twice, however, Kevin was a great person as well.
