King for a Day & then some.

I was sitting on Press Row for the Blazers game with Cleveland knowing that in the final few minutes something special could happen. It was the Blazers 9th consecutive 20 thousand plus sellout and as most fans know...most of those games have been great down the stretch.

Would the Blazers hold on and win again...or would Lebron James rally the red hot Cavs. Either way it would be something special. In the end....



We have a winner....

....and they are your Portland Trail Blazers! Tonight, the young guns made it 18 wins in their last 20 games. Only the Jazz and Raptors have been able to slip past the Blazers since December 2nd. It's truely a remarkable feat--in any sport--regardless the professional level. Tonight's performance in New Jersey was indicative of how this team has been so successful. It was as simple as playing team basketball...sharing the ball....a...

Of all the suprises on the local sports scene....the Blazers win streak (which ended last night at 13).....takes the cake!
I just can't help wonder what the immediate future means for this years team---not next years.
With Oden roaming the interior....it's gonna be incredibly better. Add Rudy Fernandez---who many feel is the second coming of Manu Ginobili---and the recipe for success improves exponentially.
