Ok. Greg Oden is out for the season...but it's not the end of the world.
The Blazers center is just 19 years old and has a long and lengthy career in front of him. Brandon Roy was 22 when he entered the NBA, so was Larry Bird and many other great stars.

If you would have told the Blazers in May that they could have Greg Oden as thier draft pick...but they would have to wait until 2008, the Blazers would have jumped at the idea. So would the fans. They would have waited two years.
The Blazers say Oden's knee surgery was successful and they expect a full recovery.
The team is headed in the right direction...and they admitted it would take a few years to get where they want to go.

Blazer fans have a good group of guys to root for...and within a year...that team will be even better. Wish Oden good luck in his rehab and get ready for a decade of fun.

The time will come.
