The Blazers center spoke to the media for the first time since microfracture surgery on his knee that effectively ended his 07-08 season before it even began. He was personable, humble, ... Blazers rookie Greg Oden will address the local media for the first time since undergoing successful microfracture surgery nearly 2 weeks ago. He'll talk about his experience of not being able to play....as well as his plans to rehab the knee. Well, I'm probably like a lot of you.....I STILL don't want to believe that our "chosen one"--Greg Oden is out for the year. Here's my view on it however. If it was going to happen....I'm glad it happened now. I'm cautiously optimistic that everything will work out in the long run. By Craig Edwards Greg Oden is Likely Done for Season Sorry, Blazers fans. This is possibly the worst news you could have heard out of the Rose Quarter today. Since draft day, Greg Oden has been the centerpiece of everything related to the Blazers' franchise, from strategy on the court, to marketing and ticket promotion. This is a huge blow for the team. But... DO NOT PANIC. The Blaz... It's a fact of life that we are all trying to grasp....Blazers prized rookie Greg Oden is going under the knife this Thursday to have what they are calling "exploratory arthroscopic knee surgery". Oden said on his website....that while he was on vacation...he got up off the couch when he felt a sharp pain in his right knee. He didn't think anything of it at the time...but the pain never really subsided....so he went to see the doc. And... |
