Today (September 10th) Newschannel 8 at Noon expands to one hour! You'll find
all the day's local, national and international headlines.. plus, your weather forecast and health headlines, business news and the buzz in entertainment.
One of the health stories that caught my attention today deals with arthritis in the knees being a precursor to lung cancer! Our health segment airs right around
12:23pm.
We also have a new segment. We'll be checking in with Northwest Cable News
just after 12:40pm to update news headlines from around the region.
And this week, I'm hoping Dave Salesky emails me photos of his Cycle Oregon trek. If and when those come through, we'll either show them at noon... or I'll post a few on my blog.

That pedophile who moved to Portland from Los Angeles--I think you showed an interview with him at a radio station--was just on a TV Show down in CA, the name of which I can't recall, but the host is a bald-headed guy: a former Marine and cop. He really exposed this pedophile for who he is! Is KGW planning to interview this pedophile?

Arthritis in the knees is a precursor to cancer? What about those of us who have arthritis in our spines?
I also heard there's been a proven study that shows that women who have had abortions are more likely to get breast cancer. However, I haven't heard you report on this?
Something else I have never heard reported, but which I really wish you'd do a story on is what is the percentage of women who've gotten breast cancer after getting breast implants. Thankfully, I've never gotten any, but I have wondered ever since I had my last mammogram and the woman asked me if I had implants. She told me it's alot more difficult to discover cancer in a woman who has breast implants.

Brenda, The answer to road rage is called Defensive Driving. I took two courses in Defensive Driving. One thing I learned from these courses was that if you almost miss your turn off, you do not cut another driver off in an attempt to make it. Isn't that what happened in this road rage shooting?
Doesn't the driver who cut the shooter off really deserve the blame for precipitating the shooting?:

I live in Gleneden Beach and watch your channel every day. I am deeply offended by the Reynolds Tobacco ads and will contine to turn off my TV whenone appears.
Please get rid of that terrible ad!

I *LOVE* the expanded noon news. When you cut it back to 30 minutes, I felt as though I missed out on a lot. I know it's more work for everyone, but it is appreciated by this viewer:-)

Hi Brenda!
I've never "blogged" before but had to send Drew Carney one after I saw him bring his twin boys to the studio this morning. You looked so natural holding the one and Russ looked like he was scared! haha....
Anyway, just had to tell you that I watch you guys every morning. You are a great team & I rarely miss your faces!!!
