I have now moved from Herat and Shindad in the west of Afghanistan to the capital of Kabul and now to Jalalabad in the east. My travels have out paced my ability to transmit the stories, and now, once again, I'll be out of touch for a short while. I'll be heading into some of the most remote areas of US operations; places unreachable by vehicle, resupplied by pack mules and what can be carried on your back.

I'll update the blog with new stories once I return. Thanks for continuing to read along.
