Here we go again, it is that time of year, time to attack the BCS. In fact Utah Senator Orrin Hatch is going straight to the top, asking President Obama to step in and start an investigation. He say the BCS violates anti trust laws. I hope he has some success with the President because the BCS continues to frustrate college football fans everywhere. I mean the BCS is nothing more than a beauty contest. It's USC, Florida, Alabama and everyone else. Why do these schools get so much respect from everyone in the country. Immediatly following Texas' win over Oklahoma, I heard nothing but criticism about the Horns. How they should have crushed a depleted Sooner squad... But after Florida barley escaped Arkansas at home, I heard nothing. Not to mention Alabama, who had a very difficult time with South Carolina. Look, I don't have the perfect solution, but I know coaches should not have a say in the voting, they can't possible watch other teams. They, like many reporters only vote on what they see on ESPN after the fact or a the final scores in the next morning's newspapers. Lets fix this thing!!!!! Or if not, lets begin a holiday, a national day to complain about the BCS...We do it every year anyway. |
