I love sports, obviously I do because I have chosen to make it my profession. I enjoy rooting for my favorite teams and yes sometimes I get passionate about it. Being a St. Louis Cardinals fan, I hate the Chicago Cubs. I like it when they lose!!! But not once when the Cubs beat the Cardinals did I ever spray paint Albert Pujols front yard. If you don't kbnow where I am going with this, let me explain. Some jerk in Buffalo spray painted an obscenity in the front yard of Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin. The fan was upset that McKelvin fumbled the kick that allowed the Patriots to rally back and beat the Bills Monday night 25-24. Look, I believe fans have the right to boo, after all tickets are expensive. But when it comes to the players after the game, at their homes or anywhere else, leave them alone! Please remember, it's just a game, he didn't mean to fumble, he wanted to win just as much as anyone. Sports is fun, it's an escape from the struggles of everyday life, but when it's over it's over, move on and look forward to next week, or in the Cubs case, next year! 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
I "almost" agree. I completely respect what you say about taking it way too far after the game. However, what happens when what they (pro athletes) do stuff themselves off the field? My biggest example would be Mr. Michael Vick. I absolutely believe in second chances IF you believe what you did was wrong. He, in my opinion, just happened to get caught! I feel he would still be doing it had he not been. Is it then ok for people to protest his playing at games...before and after? I think so. That's just my opinion though.
