Fontana Miller freshman guard Chloe Wells was chosen the Division 2AA girls basketball co-player of the year as the CIF-Southern Section released its awards earlier this week.
Wells averaged a shade over 16 points per game in helping the Rebels capture the school's first section championship. Miller coach Mel Wilkins was chosen the division's coach of the year.
Two other area players were chosen co-player of the year in their school's respective divisions: Perris senior guard Brianna Estell (in Division 2A) and Redlands Arrowhead Christian senior center Jessilyn Conicell (in Division 4AA).
Fourteen area girls basketball players were selected to the first team in their repective division. An additional 22 players were chosen to the second teams. below is a list of the players who received honors.
