Hey...Just read this on ESPN.com...Dave Cutaia, the suspended Pac-10 official from the Oklahoma-Oregon game, will referee the USC-UA game...The conference does not have enough crews to cover all of the games this weekend...So he'll work at Arizona Stadium on Saturday and serve his suspension later in the season...Vinnie

Senior quarterback Adam Austin has been named the starter for Saturday's football game against Stephen F. Austin, head coach Mike Stoops said before practice Thursday.
Austin, who finished the LSU game last week in place of UA sophomore Willie Tuitama, who was removed after showing symptoms of a concussion, has never started in his five-year UA career, which began as a walk-on.

Word just in from the Arizona Athletic Department...Junior wide receiver BJ Dennard has left the wildcat football program...Dennard indicating to Mike Stoops that he is leaving the team for personal reasons...The statement saying as well that the program will make no further comments regarding this announcement...Vinnie

In Monday's press conference, Arizona Football head coach Mike Stoops said the Wildcats schedule is not beneficial to rebuilding Arizona's program. He made comparisons to the Pac-10's scheduling format (3 non-conference & 9 conference games) and other conferences (SEC, Big 12, Big 10) about them scheduling " 4 patsies" to get easy wins and then going .500 in their conference for a bowl-eligible 8-4 record. One may see this as Stoops throwing...
