Talking to Lute Olson, he's confident the Arizona Basketball team will be moving full speed ahead when the season tips off in November. What would you expect him to say.... he is the head coach. As of right now, today (May 20), you have to admit things look a little shaky. Chase is still undecided about making the move to the NBA. Nic Wise is 50/50 on whether he'll transfer or not, and he's not looking to make a decision until mid-summer. ...

Coming into the season I'm sure not too many of us thought the Cats would be heading to Arizona State with a worse record than the Sun Devils (Cats:10-4, ASU:12-2). Since that's the life of college basketball... the show must still go on. The Cats have played hard, but they've also been inconsistent on defense throughout the season. That raises questions about Arizona matching up with ASU Freshman James Harden (17.6 ppg) and forward Jeff P...

Mike Stoops and the Arizona Wildcats will get another chance to show the country they've turned the corner. Saturday's game against in-state rival and 13th ranked Arizona State will be broadcast on ESPN-2 at 6pm. Two weeks ago, the Cats upset then 2nd-ranked Oregon in front of a national audience on ESPN at Arizona Stadium. A win will make Arizona bowl-eligible for the second straight season, and with 4 consecutive wins to end their season,...

For the second time in 3 weeks the Arizona Football team had two players receive Pac-10 Player of the Week honors. First it was Willie Tuitama and Mike Thomas getting Offensive and Special Teams honors, respectively. This time around, Linebacker Spencer Larsen and cornerback Antoine Cason were named the Defensive and Special Teams weekly award winners. Larsen had a game high 16 tackles, a sack, and forced fumble. Cason scored on a 56-yard ...

In today's press conference UA Basketball Interim Head Coach Kevin O'Neill said he spoke with Lute recently and that Coach O will be returning shortly. He didn't give an exact time or date, but some news is better than bad news. Right? Anyway, time to move on for the time being, and that means the Cats need to be focused on the NAU Lumberjacks for the season opener. See you there.

Week One of the 2007 College Football season is in the books, and it was not a pretty site watching the Cats struggle putting up 7 points against BYU. Perhaps, as fans and hopeful media, we expected too much, too soon from Arizona's Multi-Spread offense that is still in the very early stages of development (5 months of practice combining Spring, Summer, and Fall Camp). I know I had high expectations thinking Willie T. would hit Mike Thomas a...

The southwest monsoon's are making their way around the Old Pueblo, and the High School football coaches had the right idea when it came to planning their training camp schedules. With practices in the morning (7am - 9am) and early evening (6pm - 8:30pm) there's a good chance they won't be limited to field access when it comes to getting the most out of their players. There are some drawbacks when it comes to a few of the schools doing 3-a-d...
