The southwest monsoon's are making their way around the Old Pueblo, and the High School football coaches had the right idea when it came to planning their training camp schedules. With practices in the morning (7am - 9am) and early evening (6pm - 8:30pm) there's a good chance they won't be limited to field access when it comes to getting the most out of their players. There are some drawbacks when it comes to a few of the schools doing 3-a-days. For the next couple of weeks the afternoon practices (2pm -4pm'ish) will most likely get slammed by crazy thunderstorms forcing the teams to practice inside. First year Cholla Chargers head coach Tom Webb has the right attitude when dealing with the afternoon storms, he says... "look at it as a chance to do some teaching and save the body just a little bit." Hopefully the storms don't have too much affect on the schools trying to accomplish their goals during training camp, because I'm looking forward to another competitive season of high school football. How about you? B. Nash
