After de-committing from USC last month, high school point guard Brandon Jennings committed to Arizona coach Lute Olson after an unofficial visit to Tucson over the weekend. Jennings, the top point guard in the Class of 2008, participated in the Arizona Cactus Classic held at the Mckale Center this past weekend, and his team (Belmont Shore - CA) played in the championship game. FoxSports.com reported that Jennings (a California native) chose the U of A over UConn because he wanted to be closer to where his mom and family can see him play in person. Known for recruiting the top point guards in the country rings true for Arizona as Jennings falls in line with other great point guards that have preceded him at the U of A(i. e. Damon Stoudamire, Mike Bibby, Jason Gardener, etc.). With this commitment Arizona has now received commitments or signed a top 10 player in the nation the last three seasons - Chase Budinger, Jerryd Bayless, and Brandon Jennings. Let's hope all three get a chance to play together and bring the Cats multiple national championships in the years to come. Beardown!!!!!
