Preston Guilmet has been a dominating force on the mound all season long, especially during conference play, and he's reaping the rewards. Today, Guilmet was named the Pac-10 Pitcher of the year after leading the conference in Wins (11), ERA (1.58), opponent batting average (.200), and strike-outs (126). The sophomore right-hander was named the Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week 3 times this season (an Arizona record), and Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week 4 times. Right now Guilmet is a Top 10 finalist for the Roger Clemens award which is given to college baseballs best pitcher. Here at the Sports Force we wish him the best of luck. Beardown!!!!
