Pima Softball is FOR REAL!!!!!

12:07 AM Thu, Feb 15, 2007 |
B. Nash

It may be early in the season and they may have only won 2 conference games, but the Pima Softball team looks as though they might pull off a perfect undefeated season. I'm not trying to put the jinx on them, but 14 of their 17 wins have come by way of the 5 inning mercy rule and they don't look like they're going to slow down anytime soon. In fall ball they only lost to the Arizona Softball team 2-0 and so far this season they have outscore...

It's Time for BACK-to-BACK WINS!!

B. Nash

If I was told that the Arizona Basketball team would not register BACK-to-BACK victories for an entire month (after enjoying a 12-game winning streak), I would've said - "yeah.... whatever." Well, it has happened; and since the Cats redeemed themselves (at least for one game) after thumping the Washington Huskies 84-54 on Saturday, it's about time the guys put together a string of victories to close out the regular season. The team may not s...

Post-Season Bound?

B. Nash

The last time the Arizona baseball team swept it's opening season series and missed the post-season was 2002 (Andy Lopez's 1st year as head coach). In 2007 it does not look as though history will repeat itself after the Cats put on a clinic against the Gonzaga Bulldogs this past weekend. Friday's starting pitcher Preston Guilmet was equally impressive (8.1 IP, 4k, 2BB), and if this weekend's overall TEAM performance was a taste of what to co...

Media and staff/donors that park on the Center Mall will be accommodated either on north McKale Lawn or the Center Mall bus loop. AZ Softball Pitching Update

Vinnie Vinzetta

UA Head Coach Mike Candrea still remains tight lipped about the situation involving freshman Pitcher Amanda Williams from Brentwood California...And while we have nothing firm for the record it would appear that things do not look in the programs favor at the moment...The speculation is that it involves academics...But again nothing is official...Junior Taryne Mowatt and freshman Sarah Akamine appear to be the one-two punch at the moment...You...
